The Young Mediterranean Voices (YMV) programme is organising a month-long, region-wide initiative of debate competitions and national dialogue forums. During the months of October and November, 8 Southern Mediterranean countries (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia) will host these 3-day youth-led forums that are the culmination of the YMV programme.
More than 6 500 young people have been trained in public debating, grounded in critical thinking skills, across the South Mediterranean region.

Young Mediterranean voices is the flagship debate and Dialogue programme connecting civil society, education and policy-makers across the southern Mediterranean and Europe. The programme provides a pioneering platform to open doors for young influencers to shape policy and media narratives. It is grounded on the positive experience of Young Arab Voices launched in 2011 by the Anna Lindh Foundation and British Council and it benefits from the support of the European Union.
