EUPOL COPPS and Palestinian police discuss key police project in Bethlehem

EUPOL COPPS mission met with the newly appointed District Commander to congratulate him on his new position and to discuss the continuation of the Pilot Project for Bethlehem District.
The Bethlehem Pilot Project was planned in July 2023 to support the PCP Bethlehem District and to raise the capacity of the PCP at an operational level. This project offers support in 13 different policing areas such as; cybercrime, community policing, family protection and others.
The project aims at further strengthening the Police – Prosecution cooperation, promotes Human Rights and gender mainstreaming. During the meeting, it was agreed that the project will continue taking into account the new needs that were raised by the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) District level under this current circumstances.
