Coordination with EU Member States is Key to ensure cooperation and an integrated approach when supporting the Palestinian partners, so that effectiveness can be maximised. This is why, EUPOL COPPS Head of Mission, Karin Limdal, met with representatives from th Swedish Police and Prison and Probation Service, in Ramallah on 11 September. The Deputy Head of Mission from the General Consulate to Palestine accompanied the visiting delegation at EUPOL COPPS headquarters.
The HoM briefed the delegation on the security situation in the West Bank, the Mission’s activities post-7 October, detailing on how EUPOL COPPS is cooperating with their Palestinian counterparts and other international actors.
During the discussion, the HoM thanked the two Swedish agencies for their active participation in the Mission’s activities, seconding experts to the Mission. Some of EUPOL COPPS’s advisors joined the discussion, which was an opportunity to mention some on their hands-on everyday commitment in Palestine, despite the challenges of present times.
