Between 13 and 14 June, the EuroMed Feminist Initiative organised a strategic meeting for the establishment of a Feminist School for Syrian Activists, that brought together members of EFI’s long time partner organisations, as well as the founders of the Feminist Summer School in Croatia.
The meeting aimed to provide space for a valuable exchange on best practices between Croatian and Syrian feminists working in the field. During the 2 days, the activists have discussed the structure, objectives, challenges and lessons learnt in organising a feminist summer school.
EuroMed Feminist Initiative EFI is a policy network that encompasses women’s rights organizations from the two shores of the Mediterranean and advocates for gender equality and women’s rights as inseparable from democracy building and citizenship, for political solutions to all conflicts, and for the right of peoples to self-determination. EuroMed Feminist Initiative seeks to improve and promote women’s rights as universal human rights, the value of gender equality and the use of non-violent means to solve conflicts.
