TunisiaEuropean Development Partners and the Palestinian Authority launch the European Joint Strategy in support of Palestine
The European Development Partners and the Palestinian Authority marked yesterday the launch of the European Joint Strategy in support of Palestine ”2017-2020 – Towards a democratic and accountable Palestinian State”. The launching event was attended by the Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, the EU Representative Ralph Tarraf, European Heads of Mission, and representatives of Palestinian ministries and civil society organizations.
The European Joint Strategy provides a framework for European Development Partners to support their Palestinian partners, including the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA, in a more coordinated way and for better delivery of tangible benefits to the lives of Palestinians.
“The EU and its Member States are the most important donor and are present in every aspect of life in Palestine. Today we have taken an important step to bring our individual efforts together and to create more unity in our support to education, access to water and economic development in Palestine.” said the EU Representative Ralph Tarraf.
