Mediterranean: SwitchMed network expands

SwitchMed, an initiative that supports stakeholders in scaling-up social and ecological innovations in the Mediterranean, has announced that its network has reached more than 1000 members. 
 
“We have reached more than 1000 members on the Action Network. Among our members there are policy-makers, financing institutions, start-ups and green entrepreneurs, industry service providers and civil society organisations,” SwitchMed said in a statement on Thursday 31 March 2016.
 
According SwitchMed, 1200 green entrepreneurs have already been trained by the programme. The trainings have begun in all the countries covered by the programme, and a second phase is due to start soon in Tunisia and Algeria.
