The European Union and Algeria have “the same objectives in terms of regional stability and security, because the security challenges have no borders”, said the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the Commission Federica Mogherini in Algiers, at the second session of the EU-Algeria high-level dialogue on regional security and the fight against terrorism.
Ms. Mogherini reiterated EU’s will to “support the efforts of the Algerian authorities to diversify the economy of the country”, because “a strong and diversified Algerian economy is also in the interest of the European union”, she added.
