High Representative Federica Mogherini presented yesterday the EU Global Strategy on foreign and security policy to EU leaders, meeting in Brussels at the EU summit. The strategy, titled ‘Shared Vision, Common Action: A Stronger Europe’ is the result of an open and transparent process.
The strategy reflects the collective views expressed in the process and offers a strategic vision for the EU’s global role. It highlights common ground and presents a common way forward.
“The purpose, even existence, of our Union is being questioned. Yet, our citizens and the world need a strong European Union like never before. In challenging times, a strong Union is one that thinks strategically, shares a vision and acts together”, said Mogherini. (EU Neighbourhood Info)
