July 19, 2019
Ambassador Ivan Surkoš, Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Egypt, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy launched a new round of the energy dialogue between the EU and Egypt.
A number of topics of common interest were discussed in order to speed up the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation in energy that was signed between the EU and Egypt in April 2018. The aim of the cooperation with the Port of Antwerp is to develop the bunkering business in Egypt in line with the country’s oil and gas hub strategy.
