TunisiaPalestine: EU stands ready to support Palestinian Central Elections Commission
The EU Representative held a series of meetings in Ramallah yesterday to discuss the prospects of Palestinian elections.
The EU Representative received from the Chairman of the Palestinian Central Elections Commission a formal invitation for EU elections observation mission. He also met Prime Minister Shtayyeh where they discussed bilateral relations and EU support to the Palestinian elections.
In two other separate meetings, the EU Representative discussed the recent political developments with Fatah Secretary General Jibrel Rajoub and Fatah Central Council Member Nasser Al Qudwa. The EU Representative reiterated that the EU stands ready to support the Palestinian Central Elections Commission in order to prepare for holding free, fair and inclusive elections for all Palestinians.
