A study was presented in the Moroccan capital Rabat on 21 February entitled ‘Talents Abroad: Moroccans of the World’. The study, conducted by the OECD and the Ministry for Moroccans living abroad and migration affairs as part by the EU-funded SHARAKA project, examines the socio-demographic characteristics of Moroccans living in OECD countries.
The study provides a detailed statistical profile of Moroccans residing in OECD host countries (demographic characteristics, immigration history, household structure, qualifications, socio-occupational profile, etc.) and allows a deeper knowledge of the migratory dynamics of the Moroccan community abroad.
Carried out with the acknowledged expertise of the OECD, the study provides a valuable benchmark, which can contribute to improving public policy and action programmes targeted at Moroccans living abroad.
