Last June 21th, an international congress was launched on the growth and the political economy in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa.

Thirty MENA region specialists from all over the world gathered in Paris for a two-day conference co-organized by Femise. Intense and constructive debates took place during the congress. The purpose of the event was to question the relationship between power, the state and the financial markets.

These reflections highlighted possible solutions that could bring down the unemployment rate and increase growth in the Mediterranean region.

FEMISE is an Association that receives EU-funding, aiming through its activities to contribute to the reinforcement of dialogue on economic and financial issues in the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, within the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Union for the Mediterranean.
