“The attack committed today by a terrorist group in Ben Guerdane illustrates once again the gravity of the threat which Tunisia faces”, a European Union spokesperson said in a statement on Monday 7 March 2016. The EU condemns these attacks and reaffirms its solidarity. ”Terrorism is a shared challenge which requires a joint response”.
The EU, which “is mobilising all of its instruments to support the transition” in Tunisia, reaffirms that it, “stands resolutely on the side of Tunisian democracy in the test which it is currently facing”, the statement said.
