TunisiaBlueMED Preliminary Implementation Plan
The BlueMed Implementation Plan provides a medium-term operational tool to develop sustainable Blue Economy in the Mediterranean area. It was endorsed by the Group of Senior Officials BlueMed Working Group (GSO BlueMed WG) which steers the The BlueMed Research and Innovation Initiative.
This Initiative, launched in 2014 during the Italian Presidency of the European Union, aims to advance a shared vision for a healthier, productive, resilient, better-known and valued Mediterranean Sea.
To reach the objectives that will contribute to address the identified challenges, a common plan based on actions needs to be implemented. The present document is a step in this direction.
The GSO BlueMed WG is co-chaired by the European Commission and the co-chair of the Union of the Mediterranean (currently Jordan) and supported by the Secretariat of the Union of the Mediterranean.
