EuroMedMig Policy Paper (February 2021, n. 4) – When North African emigration turns into diasporas: Migration dynamics, collective action and State responses

This Policy Paper is the outcome of a workshop jointly organized by the Euromedmig network and the CEDEM (University of Liège) on 5 November 2020 and held online. The meeting dealt with the role of migration and diaspora-formation in the Western Mediterranean region.

The main objective of this Policy Paper is to summarize the premises put forward during this National Workshop with the purpose of sharing what was considered as substantial policy –relevant arguments and recommendations for the development of MedMig policies.

This activity is funded by the Erasmus + Jean Monnet Network Program.

The EuroMedMig Policy Papers aim to promote knowledge, exchange and dialogue among actors working on a particular topic on Mediterranean Migration, comprising of international and Mediterranean organisations, stakeholders, civil society organisations, policy makers and politicians at all levels of government.
