The EU-funded CyberSouth project held online workshops on procedural law provisions on cybercrime and electronic evidence in Algeria and Tunisia on 14 and 19 October.
These workshops aimed at bringing together the relevant stakeholders responsible for drafting and enforcing cybercrime procedural law and assessing whether the existing legislation follows the international human rights approach and rule of law standards.
In both events, the participants received recommendations for the harmonisation of the national legislation with the international standards.
CyberSouth is a joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It contributes to the prevention and control of cybercrime and other offences involving electronic evidence in the region of the Southern Neighbourhood, in line with international human rights and rule of law standards and good practices.
