As part of the workforce development activities of the “Libya Competes” project, the Tripoli Job Fair took place on January 17, 2024. The event witnessed the active participation of 30 companies and institutions representing diverse fields and sectors.
The “Libya Competes” platform garnered significant attention, drawing in more than 35,000 job seekers, with over 3,000 individuals submitting applications for various job opportunities. Among those specifically invited and chosen to attend the fair, more than 1,000 participants met the technical specifications sought by the participating companies. This resulted in around 350 job interviews conducted throughout the course of the event.
Preceding the fair, “Libya Competes” organized workshops and training sessions in two distinct phases. The initial phase focused on Human Resource managers from participating companies, while the second phase was tailored to benefit job seekers, aiming to enhance their skills, particularly in areas such as resume writing and preparation for job interviews.
