Palestine: MoreThanAJob partners assess employment policies with the Ministries of social development and labor

In the framework of “Reinforcing social and solidarity economy for the unemployed, uneducated and refugees” Project (MoreThanAJob), MoreThanAJob Project‘s Partners in Palestine: Nablus Chamber of Commerce & Industry and An-Najah National University visited the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Labor to study the Operating Policies in Palestine.

This field visit aims at studying the employment policies in Palestine and the role of Public Administrations in the development and enhancement of these policies.

Also, the visit focused on discussing the strategies adopted by the two ministries to improve the employment policies in Palestine, and prepare the labor force considering the development needs and productive sector demands.

The participants identified and analyzed specific collaboration and coordination initiatives between the Ministries of Social Development and Labor and the targeted public administrations in Palestine to improve the labor inclusion of youth.

MoreThanAJob project, funded by the European Union within the ENI CBC Med Programme, aims to enforce social ‎inclusion of vulnerable and unemployed populations ‎by applying ‎best practices for more effective collaboration of the social and ‎‎solidarity economy (SSE) actors with the public administration.‎
