TunisiaTunisia: EUR 75 million donation to support economic recovery

On Wednesday 24 February 2016 the EU Delegation – Tunisia announced that the European Union had contributed EUR 75 million to the Tunisian national budget. This is the first instalment of a EUR 100 million donation to the National Economic Recovery Support Programme (PAR IV). The second instalment is to be paid at the end of the year.
The Delegation added that this important financial transfer “confirms the EU’s support for the reforms implemented by the Tunisian authorities in the areas of socio-economic development and consolidating democratic gains.”
The PAR IV programme notably made it possible “to support the setting up of the Constitutional Court.”
