Are you a young graduate interested in international relations? Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Libya?
The EU Delegation offers a traineeship of 6 months within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Libya, starting in April 2020. (The EU Delegation to Libya temporarily relocated to Tunis)
The Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section works closely with Libyan and international actors to contribute to the stabilisation and democratic transition of Libya. It maintains a wide network of contacts to keep itself informed about the situation in Libya and report to EEAS headquarters in Brussels. It hosts regular coordination meetings with EU member state embassies to coordinate positions and share information on political, security and economic developments, as well as on migration and human rights issues. Coordination meetings are also organised for member states embassies on cooperation and consular affairs. Finally, the PPI section is responsible for producing a daily press review, as well as for strategic communication on the European Union, its values and its activities in Libya.
