From 11 to 12 October 2017 the DG NEAR flagship programme EUROMED Migration IV (EMM4), implemented by International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), held a second Sub-Regional Workshop on Migration Governance.

Country delegations from Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine attended the two-day meeting in the Jordanian capital Amman. The event provided a knowledge and experience-exchange platform on national migration governance and inter-institutional coordination for representatives of the three governments.

Participants discussed topics such as international, national and local Migration Governance frameworks, e-government tools and evidence-based policy-making for better migration governance. National working groups were meeting in parallel as part of the process to improve interinstitutional coordination; participants exchanged their respective national migration governance challenges and good practices which were then presented to all delegations in view of peer-to-peer learning and knowledge exchange.
