FEMISE, in collaboration with The Royal Scientific Society, iPARK, and CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research is organising a joint workshop to address the issues of social entrepreneurship (SE) in the MENA region and the roles of the different actors in providing financial and technical support to these initiatives. A special focus will be made on how SE can tackle the refugees crisis in Jordan and Lebanon. The workshop will be held on 17 April in Amman, Jordan.
The participants in the workshop “Social Entrepreneurship in the MENA region: Inclusiveness and Growth” will discuss a number of issues related to the role of social entrepreneurship in the region, among others:
FEMISE is an Association that receives EU-funding, aiming through its activities to contribute to the reinforcement of dialogue on economic and financial issues in the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, within the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Union for the Mediterranean. More specifically, it seeks to improve understanding of the priority stakes in the economic and social spheres, and their repercussions on the Mediterranean partners in the framework of their implementation of EU Association Agreements and Action Plans.
