The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has renovated the Golden Clinic (Polyclinic compound) in Sebha as part of the European Union (EU) funded project ‘Strengthening Local Capacities for Resilience and Recovery.’

The Golden Clinic, previously known as Al Gurda Polyclinic, is considered the second biggest health facility in Sebha. It used to attend 8,000 patients per month.

However, the building was severely damaged during the conflict in 2014. The clinic was only working half day per week until 2017, when it finally started operating daily. However, only one floor could receive patients. With this rehabilitation, the clinic will attend patients also in the second floor dedicated to obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and blood laboratory among other specialties.
