The EU programme SwitchMed announced the 4 winners of the Euro-Med Weeks for Waste Reduction competition. Here is the list :
- Indinya : A waste reduction program, educational workshops, and the creation of a collaboration platform with local businesses.
- Multi Aid Programs – MAPS : Raising awareness about the environmental impact of (Polyethylene terephthalate) PET plastic, reducing PET plastic waste within MAPs areas of intervention, and promoting the recycling of PET plastic water bottles among youth.
- Recycle Lebanon – TerraPods : A ground-breaking project that integrates agroecology, bio-design, and the arts to establish a circular future. Through a “Grow, Create, Market” model, it fosters creativity, collaboration, and self-sufficiency, addressing environmental and social challenges.
- Horizons art et culture : The organization is a cultural association that has been actively engaged in sustainable consumption and production for the past two years. Its focus lies in recycling plastic materials and items discarded at sea, transforming them into artistic paintings and accessories.
