The Union for the Mediterranean is co-organising with CIHEAM Zaragoza a workshop on integrating green skills into teaching and learning on educational sectors connected to agri-food. The workshop will be hosted by CIHEAM Zaragoza on 1-2 February 2024, and will focus on green skills as linked to agriculture and sustainable food systems, in support of food security.

The objective of the workshop is to inspire participants to be aware and proactively drive the integration of green skills into academic curricula or similarly integrate them in their activities, while also actively contributing to the advancement of sustainable food systems, food security and regional dialogue on the “Just Transition”.

The workshop looks at green skills integration, policy discourse, and stakeholder collaboration through the lens of the “Quintuple Helix” framework, examining the roles of academia, industry, and governments. Participants develop their own case in groups and a systematic strategy for integrating green skills into their own organisations.
