This is the kick-off meeting of local and international municipal focus groups for cities which will work on finding solutions while developing collaboration between large and small cities.

The project engages cities and innovative SME companies from Mediterranean countries to increase the collaboration between SMEs and the public sector to develop innovative, sustainable solutions to urban challenges faced by cities today.

In these meetings, the discussions will focus on the practical tools to make Mediterranean SMEs work together to make cities smarter, to develop sustainable solutions and to address urban challenges and barriers by providing innovative ideas.

These meetings will host mentors and professional keynote speakers to provide know-how and lead a fruitful discussion.

The SME4SMARTCITIES project (Mediterranean SME working together to make cities smarter) is funded under the ENI CBC Med Programme. It aims at enhancing the collaboration between public authorities and SMEs to make the Mediterranean cities more efficiently managed and more livable for communities. The project will help cities be the front-runners of innovation, and support Mediterranean SMEs in order to guarantee that their products and services meet the expectations and needs of smart cities.
