As part of the C4C program, “Nabeul Ville Verte, NVV,” ICU organised a seminar on March 8, 2024, on the opportunities offered by the RDF to better understand Tunisian law, focusing on recent amendments.

The objective of the NVV project is to carry out the actions of the Sustainable Energy Access and Climate Action Plan (SEACAP) developed by the Municipality of Nabeul. The project is being conducted in collaboration with the Municipality, supported by the ICU, and co-financed by the European Union.

The seminar brought together diverse participants engaged in waste management and sustainable development, sustainability specialists and experts, representatives of organisations such as the EU, and independent civil society consultants.

It also allowed fruitful discussions among stakeholders, including the private sector, cement plants, and waste management companies. The objective is to carry out a project to recover Municipal and Similar Waste into RDF.
